How the Daily Jumble works

Each day brings five scrambled words plus a final bonus. Work through the five, typing each unscrambled word into its box; when you get one right, a circled letter lights up. Once all five are solved, those circled letters — jumbled together — become the clue to the day's bonus word, which you solve to finish. Because the whole puzzle is built from the calendar date, everyone plays the same Jumble, and a fresh one arrives at midnight your local time. Your progress is saved right in your browser.

Tips for unscrambling faster

Look for common prefixes and suffixes first — an -ing, -ed, or -er ending narrows the possibilities quickly. Pair up letters that often travel together, like th, ch, st, and tr, and try sliding a vowel between clusters of consonants. For the bonus, write the circled letters out and treat them exactly as you would any short anagram. If a word won't crack, our Anagram Solver and Word Solver can untangle it in a second.

Why unscrambling is good practice

Rearranging letters strengthens the same recall you lean on in Scrabble and Words With Friends, and it trains your eye to spot word shapes fast. A daily Jumble is a tidy warm-up before a longer session — try it alongside the Daily Anagram Ladder and the Daily Boggle.
