How the Daily Boggle works

Each day there's one fresh 4×4 grid of letters, and your job is to find as many words as you can hidden inside it. Build a word by linking neighbouring tiles — any tile touching the previous one across, down, or on a diagonal counts — and no tile may be reused within a single word. Words must be four letters or longer. Tap the tiles in order, then press Submit word; valid finds are crossed off and added to your score. Because the board is built from the calendar date, everyone plays the same grid, and a new one arrives at midnight your local time. Your progress is saved right in your browser.

Scoring and ranks

Longer words are worth more points — four letters score 1, five score 2, six score 3, seven score 5, and any word of eight letters or more scores a hefty 11. Your rank climbs as you claim a larger share of the total points hiding in today's grid, from Beginner all the way to Perfect! when you've found every word. You don't need to sweep the whole board to feel good about a session; reaching Genius is a strong day's work.

Tips for finding more words

Start with common endings — plurals in -s, past tenses in -ed, and -ing forms often unlock several words from one root. Hunt for high-value long words first by looking for tiles that chain naturally, then mop up the short four-letter words that connect the same letters. Diagonals are easy to miss, so deliberately test them. If you get stuck, a quick warm-up here pairs nicely with the Daily Word Wheel and the Daily Word Search.
