The short version
WordSolverOnline is designed to be privacy-friendly. The letters and words you type into any solver are processed entirely on your own device and are never sent to us or stored on a server. We do not require an account and we do not ask for personal information. We do use Google Analytics to understand overall traffic and Google AdSense to display ads, and those services set cookies and collect some data as described below.

Information we do and do not collect
Solver input stays on your device. When you enter a rack of tiles, an anagram, or a puzzle pattern, that input is matched against a dictionary that has already been downloaded to your browser. The matching happens in JavaScript on your device. We do not receive, log, or store the words you search for.
We do not collect personal information directly. We have no sign-up, no login, and no contact forms that store data. If you email us, we receive whatever you choose to put in that message and use it only to respond to you.
Standard analytics and advertising data. Like most websites, our analytics and advertising partners automatically receive certain technical information when you visit — such as your approximate location, device and browser type, pages viewed, and a cookie or identifier — as described in the sections below.
Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. We and our partners use them to measure traffic and, where applicable, to serve and personalize ads. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings at any time; doing so will not stop the solvers from working, since they do not rely on cookies. Where required by law, we ask for your consent before non-essential cookies are set (see "Visitors in the EEA, UK, and Switzerland" below).
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit, which tools are most used, and how visitors find the site. Google Analytics sets cookies and collects aggregated, largely anonymized usage data. We use this only to improve the site. You can learn more from Google's privacy policy and can opt out using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
Google AdSense and advertising
We display ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free. In serving ads, Google and its partners may use cookies or device identifiers to show ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits to our site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. We do not sell your personal information for money. Children
This site is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Data retention and security
Because we do not collect or store personal data on our own servers, there is little for us to retain. Emails you send are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Analytics and advertising data are retained by Google according to their own policies. We serve the site over HTTPS to protect data in transit.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the site or the law changes. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Significant changes will be highlighted on this page.
